Aluminum Extrusion

High-Quality Aluminum Extrusions from China

What is Aluminum Extrusion?

Aluminum extrusion is a process that is used to create objects from aluminum with a specific cross-sectional profile.

A solid cylindrical block of aluminum—called a billet—is heated until it is moldable, but not molten. It is then pushed through a die using a powerful ram and emerges on the other end in the desired shape.

This process allows product designers to take advantage of aluminum’s unique properties—it is lightweight, strong, resistant to corrosion, and can accept a wide range of surface finishes.

Extruded aluminum has innumerable applications for the architectural, automotive, aerospace, transportation, medical device, and many other industries.

The cost of new die & toolings is lower than comparable processes and it is ideal for medium to high volume production.
